Northern Kenya

 

An organization comprised of local communities in northern and coastal Kenya. NRT was established to develop an ecologically sustainable environment for people, their agricultural activities and wildlife. 
Thanks to NRT’s ongoing efforts, a large region that spreads across 44,000 square kilometers in the northern part of Kenya (which was once infamous for violent conflict and poaching) is now at the forefront of community-led development and peace efforts among the local population. 
NRT's mission is to educate the importance of wildlife and allow hundreds of thousands of people, millions of livestock, and endangered wild animals to live side by side.

NRT is creating the building blocks of a huge, interconnected ecosystem.
