Saving a natural treasure from destruction
 

The Israeli Government has been promoting the development of an intense residential project in an area that is the "last resort of nature" in an urban surrounding. A group of 4 of us led the battle to preserve nature, convinced the Herzliya municipality and the community to help fight the Government and to protect nature. We put forth an alternative plan, "Apollonia Eco-Park", to preserve the region's treasures. Apollonia Eco-Park is planned in a diverse landscape that consists of open spaces, important historical sites, and an abandoned brownfield site with roaming wildlife. After more than 6 years we obtained a victorious ruling from the Israeli Supreme Court with 7 supreme court judges ruling for our cause.
